Ensure that your pump is sourcing and pressurizing water from just below the surface of your water storage or rainwater harvesting tank rather than off of the bottom where settling will occur. This helps to prevent debris from entering your pump and potentially causing problems. In a rainwater harvesting system, it's always recommended that you filter rainwater prior to the storage tank and again prior to the water pump.
1" Male Threaded Connection will screw into a 1" female threaded bulkhead fitting on the bottom of the sidewall on the inside of a storage tank. If your tank has a 2" bulkhead fitting, you'll need a 2" x 1" Reducer Bushing to make the connection.
This floating filter will also work with a submersible pump that has a 1" female threaded sidewall connection on its base.
