Water Stays Fresher for Longer

Antimicrobial technology adds a defense mechanism to a tank liner which helps it fight against the growth of microbes such as bacteria and algae.

Better Quality Water and Less Cleaning

A tank with a liner treated with antimicrobial technology requires less frequent cleaning to maintain a healthy tank environment.

Longer Tank Life

Prevent mold, algae, and bacteria that can cause damage to the liner for an overall longer tank liner life.

BPA-Free Tank Liner

The AQUALINER Fresh® has been tested and accredited to NSF 61 International standards for BPA-Free drinking water storage.

THE AQUALINER Fresh® ADVANTAGE

The AQUALINER Fresh® takes the longest-lasting tank liner and adds antimicrobial technology. This exclusive innovation can only be found with Pioneer Water Tanks as a partnership with the Swiss Antimicrobial company, SANITIZED®. Our AQUALINER Fresh® tank liner actively reduces the growth of biofilm and algae.

The SANITIZED® antimicrobial technology is mixed into the master batch of the Black Polyethylene (PE) film used in the construction of the tank liner fabric. The Black PE film is one of the multiple layers of the liner fabric that provides the superior strength, flexibility, abrasion resistance and water proofness of AQUALINER Fresh®.

The Aqualiner® has earned the reputation of being the best liner in the water tank industry. Unlike liners in other water tanks, the Aqualiner® is made from a reinforced fabric with a woven center layer for strength and durability. AQUALINER® water storage liners feature five material layers bonded permanently together by hot melt laminating the layers under pressure, creating a homogenous single liner. It is virtually impossible for the layers to separate under normal conditions. The closed protected environment that exists under the PIONEER® dome roof tanks is ideal. No harmful ultraviolet light, and no liner movement contribute to a long life span for AQUALINER® water storage liners.

The AQUALINER® water storage liner is ANSI/NSF 61 certified, and made with NSF Certified Drinking Water System Components. This certification demonstrates that the AQUALINER® water storage liner has been rigorously tested by an independent body to internationally accepted standards. As a result, AQUALINER® water storage liners meet the requirements for stored water intended for human consumption.

 MADE WITH BLUESCOPE® STEEL

bluescope-steel-colorbond.jpg

Only the highest quality Zincalume® and Colorbond® steel is used in Pioneer® Water Tanks, providing unmatched durability that no other tank manufacturer can offer- that’s why Pioneer® Tanks last longer than any other brand.

Next generation Zincalume® steel’s patented Activate™ technology introduces magnesium into the aluminium-zinc alloy coating, improving galvanic protection by activating the aluminium. The result is a tougher protective coating that's more resistant to scratches and scuffs encountered during construction.

20-YEAR WARRANTY

Made of the highest-quality Zincalume® steel and protected by a sacrificial anode system, Pioneer® tanks were designed with a 30-year service life in mind and are the most resistant steel tanks to corrosion. Replacing the anodes every 10 years will ensure that the tank walls stay strong and sturdy. All Pioneer® Tanks are professionally installed and come with an industry leading 20-year warranty on the entire tank, giving you peace of mind that your water storage will be around to serve your future needs.

With over 20 years of proven performance in harsh climates around the world, Pioneer® water tanks live up to the high expectations of people who care about the quality of their water supply.

Pioneer V-LOCK® Tank Profile

The PIONEER V-LOCK® corrugation style is unique and stands out against competitors for its durability and ability to attach a tank liner to the tank walls. The PIONEER V-LOCK® wall profile supports the tank liner while maximizing the strength of corrugated steel, ensuring it stays in shape while minimizing liner stress. The PIONEER V-LOCK® vastly improves the structural integrity by engineering the design with a flat section at the bolted panel connections.

The Pioneer V-LOCK® wall profile provides superior internal support for the tank liner. Competitor’s corrugated tanks stretch the liner into the deep tank wall corrugation during every water level cycle. Over time, the stresses caused by the water pressure and continual cycling can lead to the mechanical failure of the liner itself.

Pioneer V-LOCK® Liner Support

The Pioneer V-LOCK® design maintains the perfect support for the liner attached at multiple fixed points. As the liner is pressing up against the flatter sections, the Pioneer V-LOCK® support stops the liner from being flexed and stretched to the same degree. Pioneer Water Tanks protect water for longer with quality engineering and materials.

Pioneer Water Tanks Support

Boltstrips on Pioneer Water Tanks: We use a single-piece bolt strip in the construction of our tanks. The bolt strip allows even and consistent clamping force along the length of the strip. Bolts are concealed by bolt strip covers that provide a clean finish and hide the threads to avoid tampering.

Bolts are also clamped to the tank's wall by wrapping around the bolt strip. Our bolt strips help make a Pioneer Tank even stronger. Pioneer Water Tanks offer a super strong and rigid column to support the tank instead of just bolts and nuts holding together individual panels.

The Bolts:
All the bolts used in constructing a Pioneer Watertank are high-tensile, galvanized bolts with flanged heads for superior strength and clamping ability.

UNIQUE SECURED LINER
Pioneer Water Tank liners are uniquely secured to the tank wall at multiple points to provide optimal support for the liner. This support prevents the liner from pulling away from the tank wall and secures it in position. The result is less stress on the liner and prolonged service life of your tank.

TOP STRAP FINISH TO LINER WALLS

AQUALINER Fresh® liners are manufactured with a top-of-wall reinforcement known as the top strap. The top strap is an extruded LDPE (Low-Density Polyethylene) that is heat welded to the top of the liner. The liner is secured to the top of the tank by tek screws through the top strap.

WALL AND BASE FIXING LUGS

Wall and Base fixing Lugs are heat welded to the liner exterior at predetermined intervals. Each lug has an eyelet that accommodates the standard fixing bolt for the panels on that particular tank.

Using the AQUALINER® Fresh for Sales

The AQUALINER® Fresh tank liner is proven to store water to the same standard as when it enters the tank, unlike other options that can leach into the water supply.

Our exclusive BPA-Free, antimicrobial AQUALINER® Fresh tank liner maintains an NSF-61 certification for drinking water storage.

Adding a Fascia upgrade (shown above) to a Pioneer water storage tank is an aesthetic enhancement to the overall appearance of the water storage tank. The fascia hides the corrugated hills and valleys that are visible between the roof sheets and the top of the sidewall giving the water storage tank a more finished look. The fascia is not required for the structural integrity of the water storage tank.

INSTALLATION

Note: All Pioneer Water Tanks must be installed by an Authorized Installer. The factory-trained, authorized installation team is able to install your tank almost anywhere. Remote locations and difficult terrain are typically not a problem. All installers are fully trained and have extensive experience building PIONEER® tanks in diverse environmental conditions. Unlike large prefabricated tanks, which can be cost prohibitive to transport, difficult to handle, and often require machines to unload from the transport vehicle to set in place, PIONEER® water tanks are palletized for easy transport. All parts of the tank can be manually unloaded and transported to nearby installation sites if needed. This dramatically reduces the cost of transport and installation, making PIONEER® water tanks the most affordable choice when all costs are calculated. The installation process is managed by your local Authorized Dealer, Rainwater Equipment LLC. It is their job to contact you prior to delivery to confirm your site conditions. Rainwater Equipment LLC will also confirm an installation date, weather permitting and will coordinate the delivery and installation of your new tank. It is preferable that you or your representative be on site when the installation crew arrives to ensure that the tank is oriented correctly. The inlet, outlet and overflow will be positioned in the most convenient position.

Warranty Terms and Conditions

Pioneer Water Tanks, Inc. d/b/a Pioneer Water Tanks America (Pioneer) warrants the steel structure of the tank body and the water retaining liner membrane (Steel Water Tank and Liner) against defects in material and/or workmanship resulting in leakage, for 20 years from the date of installation.

When ownership of a Pioneer Water Tank needs to be transferred, the application for transfer of warranty must be received by Pioneer within 90 days of new ownership. The warranty transfer approval is at the sole discretion of Pioneer and may be subject to an inspection of the tank by Pioneer or one of its Authorized Representatives.

Pioneer Water Tanks require the following conditions to be covered under the warranty including:

1. Pioneer Water Tanks must be installed on either a clean inert sand pad with inert aggregate placed around the tank per Pioneer's recommendations, or on a concrete ring beam built to Pioneer's specification drawings.

2. Tanks must be fitted with a Pioneer Water Tanks steel dome roof at the time of installation.

3. Pioneer Water Tanks require Authorized Installers to perform installations to be covered under the warranty.

4. Pioneer Water Tanks require the anodes to be replaced every 5 years from the installation date. The proof of purchase will be requested to be produced if required.

5. Pioneer Water Tanks require regular maintenance following the Pioneer Water Tanks America Owner’s Manual.

6. Pioneer Water Tanks need to be paid in full to file a warranty claim.

7. Commissioning of the tank (if applicable) to Pioneer’s specifications occurs within 30 days of practical completion and if in the event this does not occur, it may affect any potential warranty claims.

Customer's Responsibilities

The Owner’s Manual and Warranty booklet also covers topics that the Owner is responsible for maintaining:

Sacrificial magnesium anodes are fitted to your tank for additional corrosion protection and they must be replaced every 5 years to meet warranty conditions.

Base Aggregate It is the owner’s responsibility to ensure sufficient coarse aggregate is immediately placed around the outside perimeter of the tank to prevent erosion of the sand pad and around the tank base.

Add Water Immediately after your tank is built, a minimum level of 300mm (12 inches) of water must be placed in the tank to fix the tank liner firmly in place.

Pioneer Water Tanks’ liability is limited to the original dealer purchase price as compared to the ratio of the remaining term of the warranty period, called Pro-Rata. Warranty claims require the original tank serial number given at the time of purchase.

What is “Pro-Rata”? ‘Pro-Rata’ means that PWT’s obligations are reduced in line with the time remaining under the warranty. This means the total warranty liability reduces over time.

The formulas are as follows:

Determining Maximum Liability Costs
Original Dealer Purchase Price x (Warranty Years Remaining / Total Warranty Period) = Maximum Liability

Determining Repair Costs
Repair Cost (at current rates) – Maximum Liability = Repair Cost

Example:

A warranty claim is made on a tank fifteen (15) years into the twenty (20) year warranty. The original dealer purchase price was $10,000.

Maximum Liability Cost = $10,000 x (5 warranty years remaining / 20-year warranty period) = $2500 Maximum Warranty Contribution by Pioneer

If total repair costs in this example = $5000, Pioneer will contribute $2500 of this cost under the warranty.
